The Varrato family has been studying the martial arts for many years. Julie and Ken are fourth degree black belts, Their children Victoria and Kenny are third degree black belts and are continuing their studies toward their next ranks. All are Chief Instructors. At the studios in Raymond and Sandown, our goal is to promote a family atmosphere of martial arts with classes for children and adults. Children learn valuable lessons, such as how to escape from someone if they are grabbed. They're taught the five rules of life: effort, etiquette, character, sincerity and self-control. Report cards are reviewed every quarter to ensure these character traits are carried over into their everyday life. All students are taught that karate is more than just breaking boards and throwing kicks; it's a way of life and of solving conflict without violence.
