Honesty of mind or intention; truthfulness.
Self Control:   NOT TO GET ANGRY
Power over ones own impulses, emotions, or actions.

Blue for Adults, Red for children and Green for everyone!

 

SCHOOL CUSTOMS

  • Please remove your shoes before entering the main dojo.  When leaving, you may put your shoes on in the reception area outside the main dojo.
     

  • Don't walk in front of an instructor.  It is disrespectful and may disrupt the class.  Always walk behind a class in progress.
     

  • Always kneel when putting on, pr removing your belt.  In the main dojo this should be done while facing the flag.
     

  • Absolutely no stretching and/or working out in the main dojo while a group class in progress.  You must wait in the vestibule, not in the entrance way.
     

  • No sitting in the main dojo between classes!  Time and space available should be used for stretching or working out.
     

  • Students must wear the traditional all white ghi while in class.  Purple belts and above may wear either the traditional all white ghi or the traditional all black ghi.  Please do not mix and match the colors of your ghi.
     

  • Students may wear either a solid color t-shirt or a school logo t-shirt in lieu of a ghi top when deemed appropriate by the instructor.  Please refrain from wearing printed t-shirts (i.e. Coed-Naked, No Fear, etc.)
     

  • Please address your instructor with the proper respect.  Use appropriate forms of address for the instructors, adults and children in the class. 
    Always use Sir or Ma'am when addressing your instructor.
     

  • Please respect your belt and the belts of others.
     

  • Please be aware of the scheduled time for your class and make every effort to be on time.
     

  • Personal hygiene should be observed at all times because of the physical contact necessary in martial arts training.
     

  • No sparring without proper supervision.
